Handbags for Hope
Your gently used (or new) handbags and purses can help spread hope, love, and happiness to the less fortunate mothers and children of our beautiful state.
Right now, the Travis County Sheriff's Office, on behalf of the Texas Advocacy Project, are inviting you to join our practice in donating any of your gently used, or new, purses and handbags to be donated to several domestic violence shelters across Texas.
Working with the children's programming coordinators at each shelter, the children living at the shelters will choose a handbag to give to their mothers on Mother's Day. Women living in shelters who don't have children will also receive a special handbag for themselves. Inside each handbag, these women will find hotline numbers for the Texas Advocacy Project, which will help them to access their completely free legal solutions.
